About Springfield Armory
Springfield Armory, established in 1974 by Bob Reese and his family in Geneseo, Illinois, is an American firearms manufacturer with no direct relation to the historic Springfield Armory of Springfield, Massachusetts, founded in 1777 and closed in 1968. The Reese family chose to resurrect the famous name, a significant presence in the firearms industry for nearly two centuries. By reviving this name, they also embraced the philosophy and heritage of the original armory, focusing on evolving manufacturing techniques and firearm design. Springfield Armory manufactures some of its firearms in the US (M1911 pistols, M1A rifles, various AR-15 rifles) while importing certain models, like the XD and Hellcat series of pistols, from company HS Produkt located in Croatia.
About Springfield Hellcat Pro
Springfield Hellcat Pro is a mid-sized micro-compact pistol. It is manufactured in Croatia, Europe, by the company HS Produkt. Hellcat Pro has a polymer frame and a hammer-forged barrel. This single-action, striker-fired firearm stands out for its generous magazine capacity, accommodating 15 rounds in a double-stack magazine, which is an improvement over the previous model’s 11 rounds. Additionally, it comes with a 17-round extended magazine. Safety features include a trigger safety, a firing pin safety, and a loaded chamber indicator. The grip is designed with a fine-grit sandpaper texture for a secure hold. The sighting system consists of a fiber optic front sight and a dovetailed rear U-notch sight for improved accuracy. The pistol is longer and heavier than its non-Pro variant, weighing 595 grams without a magazine, and measures 167.5 mm in length with a 94 mm barrel, yet it is still compact enough for concealed carry. It includes two Picatinny slots under the front part for attaching accessories and can use +P ammunition, with a recommendation to follow safety guidelines provided by the manufacturer.
The gun is available in the 9×19 caliber.
Springfield Hellcat Pro is offered in two colour variants:
- Black
- FDE
Each colour variant is available with or without a threaded barrel. Models featuring threaded barrels are silencer compatible. Additionally, the gun is available with an ambidextrous thumb safety.
Springfield Hellcat PRO is optic ready.
