K. L.Christina Oaks·4 days agoHi! I am looking for a mobile groomer who serves the Crews Lake area of Lakeland. A family I work with has a medium size dog and their previous groomer passed away. They are not able to bring their dog to a groomer because they have a two year old and nine month old twins. Yes – they have three children ages two and under! So I am sure you can see why it is next to impossible for them to leave the house! They have contacted several mobile groomers, but none have gotten back to them. Any recommendations for good, responsive mobile groomers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!4Like11

POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE3 days agoAgencyOn April 12th, at around 10:15 AM, PCSO deputies arrived at the Lakeland Village Mobile Home Park on US 92 East (between Lakeland and Auburndale), looking for a wanted man. The man they were looking for was 52-year old Shane Newbold. Shane had an active warrant for Burglary with Battery, Robbery, and Tampering with a Witness. The deputies made contact at the residence with Shane's sister, 61-year old Michelle Hubbard, and they told her why they were looking for him. Michelle told the deputies that Shane was not in the residence. Deputies yelled for Shane to come out--but Shane did not respond. The K9 deputy yelled out to Shane, letting him know that if he didn't come out, the K9 was coming in. With that, Shane popped up from between two beds where he had been hiding under a pile of clothes. Deputies arrested Shane Newbold for his warrant. Michelle was asked why she lied about Shane not being in the house, and she replied that she did so because he is her brother. That is sweet, yet not allowed. Michelle was also arrested. Shane and Michelle were both charged with Resisting (obstruction). #PCSO #ArrestedByThePolkCountySheriffsOffice #ItIsNiceToSeeSiblingsGetAlongSoWellBe the first to reactLike

15Lakeland ElectricLakeland Electric absolutely nothing. their rates are outrageous. do I buy food and my meds this month or pay my electric. I need my electric I have animals, am 65 a veteran and live off less than 1500 a month. that must cover ins. , gas, food, rent, incidentals, elec, etc. this month alone my fridge broke, my ac went out, had a flat. how in gods name are we supposed to even scratch the bottom of the barrel to get by. I don't qualify for food stamps, because I served my 4yrs in the navy and didn't retire I can't get my medical or medicine for free, I go to food banks, and fish as often as I can for extra food. this just sickens meM.M ·Neighbor since 2019
